Swedish Touring Club (Svenska Turistforeningen), Stureplan 2, Tel: 22 72 00, offers membership to those interested in hiking and camping in the Swedishmountain districts. Discounts, through Club membership, are available also for Denmark, Finland and Norway. Advantages for members include travel and camping information, reduced rates at mountain huts and youth hostels, literature on tourism, birds and nature, charter flight information, tourist maps and handbooks. Also offers information for travel by car.

Provides literature for those who wish to explore Stockholm and its surroundings (sightseeing tours, excursions, shopping, restaurants, etc.). The organization's Tourist Centre in Sverigehuset during May- August renders such services. Their Hotel Accommodation Service (Hotellcentralen) is in the Central Railway Station, Tel: 240880.

By boat and bus,("Båtlinjer och farjelinjer" ) to Finland. Denmark and Russia:  Silja Line and Vikinglinjen.
