PAGURO EXPAT COUNTRY GUIDE:

NORWAY

Norway

The expatriate guide on how to settle, live and thrive in Norway

Welcome to Oslo!

The city centre of Oslo is situated at the end of the Oslofjord from where the city sprawls out both to the north and to the south on both sides of the fjord giving the city area its characteristic U-shape.

Oslo with surrounding areas has a population of only 500 000. There are few skyscrapers and plenty of green areas.
You will discover an increasingly international city, culture and entertainment to suit a variety of tastes, a very well developed public transport system and a population that enjoys outdoor life.
The climate in Oslo has mild summers (temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius) and cold winters (temp. down to minus 20 degrees Celsius), a short and intense spring and a colourful autumn.
Be prepared for an active outdoor life all year round!
