Stockholm is lively and modern when it comes to cultural life. Teenager will be pleased to know that Stockholm is in the list of many young artist tours.
You can enjoy a number of performances of music, opera, and other entertainment in Stockholm, even if you do not speak Swedish.

Theatre

A popular theater venue is Drottningholm Theater, the eighteenth century theater at Drottinghom Palace which is open in the summer and which has both orchestral concerts and operatic productions. It is worth seeing at least one performance at Drottningholm, just to see the theater in operation, which uses the original machinery for changes, of scenery and sound effects.

English-language theater company offering American productions in the Spring and British productions in Autumn.

There is also an amateur company called The Stockholm Players that puts on two or three English language performances per year.
