Transport
Buses and most MRT stations are not accessible to people in wheelchairs. By the end of 2005, 48 of the 51 stations on the East-West and North-South lines will have lifts and ramps. The North-East MRT line which began operating in April 2003 has good access for wheelchair-bound passengers at all of its 16 stations. By mid-2003 all MRT stations will have at least one faregate that is wide enough for a pram or wheelchair to go through.

  Vans are fitted with hydraulic lifts can be booked in advance. Manual wheelchairs are available for rental.

The Guardian Homecare Range at Guardian Pharmacies in many shopping centres stocks items such as wheelchairs etc. There is free home delivery for purchases above S$250.
