The insurance companies in Norway are competitive and their offers vary. Most of the bigger insurance companies offer total insurance packages. The most important types of insurance needed are accident insurance (ulykkesforsikring), car insurance (bilforsikring), home insurance (hjem- og innboforsikring) and travel insurance (reiseforsikring). A financial insurance (including a mortgage insurance) and pensions insurance are also advisable. Insurance for shipments can normally be arranged through the moving or relocation company.
