Oslo - Communication
Norway is one of the countries in the world with the most mobile phones in use in the population. Mobile phones are widely used even by children and SMS (text) messages are frequently used as a way of communicating among teenagers. The mobile phone network in Norway is among the most modern in the world and there is a very good coverage all over the country and abroad (with digital GSM and an increasing use of satellite phone systems). More and more people now use a digital ISDN or ADSL line (double line) in their house, in order to use their computer with a high speed Internet connection and the phone at the same time. The telecom market is deregulated and private companies compete for the telecom services.
