Mexico City - Laboratories and Tests

Mexicans are good service providers, and laboratories are no exception. The  personnel are usually warm and caring. The other good news is that for common lab tests (urine, blood, saliva, etc.) a written prescription is not required, and those common tests are not expensive at all. They will hand the results to you and if you ask, they will also gladly fax the results to your physician.

There are chain laboratory companies, and small independent laboratories. Some even offer at-home services for a small extra fee.

When your doctor orders any tests, he/she might suggest a specific laboratory he/she trusts, specially in the case of some specialized tests, which might be only available at specific laboratories.
