Mexico - Debit Card
Debit cards are for withdrawing money directly from your checking/debit account. You can withdraw money through an ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) using a PIN code (Personal Identification Number). There is a fixed daily maximum amount (on average $3,000 pesos or $300 USD per 24-hour period) and a monthly limit. Some institutions will charge a fixed fee (between 0.50 to 1.75 dollar per transaction).
Any purchase amount will be directly debited from your account.
ATMs may also accept VISA, Master Card and American Express and other networks, like Cirrus, Presto, etc.
You may also obtain your account balance on the screen.
