Kuwait - Pets paperwork
Pets may not be imported into Kuwait until the owner holds a valid Residence Permit. The next step is to obtain an Import Permit, which is valid for a maximum period of three months from the date of issue. In order to obtain an Import Permit the following documents need to be presented to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries;
1. Copy of the pet’s Health Certificate;
2. Copy of the pet’s Export Certificate;
3. Health Booklet;
4. Vaccination Certificates;
5. Copies of the owner’s passport and Civil ID.
On receipt of the Import Permit the pet will be allowed to travel to Kuwait. One of the following companies will process the paperwork in order for the animal to be released from customs. Make sure that all paperwork is in order well in advance of the pets’ arrival in order to avoid delays.
