TV
There is no cable system in operation for the receiving of television channels.
Kuwait TV has one English-language channel (KTV-2) which is easily received using a standard TV aerial.
To view all other channels a satellite dish and decoder are required. There are two satellite TV service providers in Kuwait who sell satellite dishes, decoders and can arrange subscription cards.

DSTV
Many people have DSTV (South Africa) decoders and subscriptions. However, DSTV are not allowed to sell cards to subscribers without a valid and current South African address.
Radio
There are a number of radio stations in Kuwait; however only Super Station broadcasts locally in English. Foreign languages stations received include BBC, VOA and AFRTS (US Forces).

There are a number of Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) operating in Kuwait. Monthly rates vary and Internet cards, much like phone cards, are available. Connections are generally good however, access at peak periods such as holidays and weekends is more often than not extremely difficult.

Fasttelco offers pre-paid, dial-up and ADSL services. All customers are provided an e-mail account as an option. Dial-up services cost from KD8.5 per month and ADSL can cost anything from KD17 – KD280 per month, depending on the speed.

QualityNet offers pre-paid, dial-up and ADSL services. All customers are provided an e-mail account as an option. Dial-up services cost from KD14 per month pre-paid cards are available in denominations from KD1 – KD30. Residential DSL services can cost anything from KD18 – KD110 per month, depending on the speed.
All of the above cards can be purchased at the numerous mobile telephone retail shops around Kuwait, or at the Co-ops (Cigarette counter or adjacent desks) or at the automatic machines situated at the check-out counters of the popular supermarkets.
