Kuwait - House typology

Accommodation in Kuwait continues to improve. Historically accommodation has not been ‘finished off’ very well but that is changing.

Most apartments and villas have tiled flooring making them easy to clean, cool in the summer, cold in the winter and dangerous in stockinged feet!

Accommodation tends to be fairly light and spacious.

Many people arrive in Kuwait without their own furniture, and opt for furnished accommodation. Should you wish to, you will be able to purchase everything you require in Kuwait.

Apartments (Flats)
From studio apartments to penthouses, furnished to unfurnished, everything is available. Most apartment blocks have 24-hour security and additional facilities including a gym and swimming pool/entertainment area.

Compounds
There are a few compounds in Kuwait made up of a number of villas (attached or detached). Most have a communal gym and swimming pool/entertainment area as well as 24-hour security.

Villas (Houses)
Villas tend to be large and can have anything up to 12 bedrooms. Not all have gardens and few have their own pools.
