Munich - Taxis
All the taxis in Munich are either Mercedes or BMWs, and they're all beige! It is unusual to hail a taxi from the side of the street, but rather order one on 216 10 or 194 10, or go to one of the numerous taxi stands. Taxi stands are recognisable by the swarm of beige luxury cars and by a grey box with "TAXI" written on it.
Flagfall is 2.50 euro, with an additional euro payable for an ordered taxi. Each kilometre costs 1.15 euros. There is also a surcharge of .50 euro for every item of luggage.
