France - Car Accident Procedure
In case of an accident, you must complete a 'constat à l'amiable"'which you should have received from your car insurance company. Make sure it is always in your glove compartment. Both drivers must complete and sign it. You will have to call your insurance broker and send the form to your insurance company. If you do not agree with the driver of the other involved car on how the accident happened, do not sign the document and write your point of view. Police or insurance companies will help you.
