International food specialty supermarkets

Most shops and supermarkets are located in southwest Houston (around Bellaire Blvd), some at Downtown, a few in North Houston, Sugar Land and around the Village. Most have weekly promotion items posted at the store. Not many take coupon or rebate, do not welcome merchandise return or exchange.
Opening time are in general 7 days a week  and all holidays (may close early on big holidays, some asian shops close on Chinese New Year).

Located in the Village it has a small selection of Italian products, although many Italian products are sold in the foreign products section, more cheaply, in supermarket around town:  Phoenicia with a good collection of items (be careful to check the expiration date) Central Market which has a large selection of high quality, high priced items, HEB (depending on the area is more or less well stocked, the one in Buffalo Speedway and Bissonnet has quite a good assortment of cheeses and fresh products), Walmart (Barilla Pasta and Pomi'), Kroger, Randall. Also there are wholesale companies that have Italian produce like Nundini and Euromid, who do occasionally cater to individual.

Oriental markets

Supermarkets carry largely Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese products, some from Thai, India, Southeast Asia. They offer various Asian products with English translation on the package. In general they all have fresh vegetables, meat, Deli, Bakery and a large, nice selection of both fresh and frozen seafood.

Korean supermarket. Fresh produce are plentiful and the meat cuts are to die for. Fish is extremely fresh and is one of the few places in town where you can still find fish that has not been scaled. Clean and well stocked on vegetables and fruit from all aroud the world.
