Stockholm - Restaurants

In Stockholm there is no shortage of foreign restaurants: Italian, German, Hungarian, Austrian, Japanese, Russian, Mexican and Greek among others. Inexpensive meals can be obtained during the day from the restaurants and cafeterias in department stores or on the premises of several of the museums.

Average meal prices per head in Sweden :
Take-away snack meal  between  SEK 45 and 60
Lunch at snack bar  between  SEK 80 and 100
Dinner at restaurant  between SEK  350 and 450
Business dinner  between SEK 600 and 700

There are also pizzerias and fastfood chains such as McDonald's, Burger King and Sandy's.

The indoor markets in Stockholm like Hötorgshallen and Östermalmshallen, include several reasonably priced restaurants and cafes.  Sturecompaniet is a multistory complex of eating and drinking places on Stureplan in the city center.

Many restaurants provide for lunch a dish of the day (dagens rätt) comprising a hot dish, salad, bread and butter, and something to drink like mineral water or a"light beer", for a reasonable price. Persons aged 18 and over can be served alcohol in restaurants.
