Food is an essential part of Singapore’s heritage and helps to bring together the Chinese, Malay and Indian backgrounds of its multicultural citizens. Eating out with friends and family is an important part of daily life. The variety of eating places is huge, ranging from exclusive restaurants in five star hotels to the humble hawker stall.
