Stockholm - Religion

The state religion is the Evangelical Lutheran Church and it is followed by the majority of the population (89%). The Archbishop of Uppsala is Primate of all of Sweden. There are other Protestant minorities (8.5%). There is inter-communion between the Swedish State Church and the Church of England. Services are held regularly at the English churches in Stockholm. However, in Stockholm there is great religious tolerance and you can find churches or places of worship for any other religion. There is a Jewish community of about l6,000 members, most living in Stockholm and there are over 70,000 Muslims.
