Since everyone uses public transport (SL) a lot in Stockholm it is very useful to have an SL map handy. Different types are available and you can choose from what is available in accordance with your needs. To start with you should get the free handy map from any SL offices that are located at major subway (tunnelbana) stations. Maps of the city and suburbs can also be found in the back of the "Yellow Pages" telephone directory.

For those that love cycling bike maps are available. They show all the trails and bike lanes in Stockholm city and for most major towns in Sweden. The bike trails on these maps are marked in red.
