Stockholm - Cross cultural training

The municipalities are obliged to provide basic Swedish language instruction as well as an understanding of Swedish society for immigrants from the age of 16, for an average of 525 hours. If you are a diplomat or an employee of a UN type of organization you are not admitted to these courses.

There are companies in Stockholm which offer expatriates service in all the areas concerning the settling in Stockholm. They have individually planned introduction day (orientation); a one-day seminar intended to make Sweden easier to understand; they help people to find a suitable home and they deal with all the formalities required when moving to Sweden.
