Stockholm - Crime

Crime rate is still very low in Sweden. In some suburbs the inhabitants have developed "areas 'control systems" with a person in charge chosen on a rotation basis among the people living there.  After you move in your new house you will be made aware of this system and made part of the loop of information regarding your area. So, if you see something suspicious you will know what to do. Even when you live in a flat you will find that everybody is keeping an eye on what is happening around and alert others in the building if something unusual has happened.In the last year there have been reports of various companies being robbed as soon as they moved to a new location. Therefore, it is worth being extra careful when you just move in your new residence too!
