Stockholm - Books, magazines and music shops

Being a capital city, Stockholm offers a very good choice of books, magazines and CD's. In fact for what concerns music, Stockholm is considered one of the world-leading capital of music production and Sweden is becoming the third largest exporter of music after the US and the UK.

As for books it is fair to say that the choice available in Stockholm is not so great but it is easy enough to order books from abroad via internet or through one of the big bookstore. Recently the tax on books has been decreased so the price of books is comparable to the rest of Europe. Up until recently the best way to buy a book was via internet http://www.amazon.com even after adding shipping charges. Now the prices are competitive.

Foreign newspapers and magazines are available at specialized newsagents, at some bookstores, in Central Station and in major hotels.
