Singapore - Shopping overview

Singapore is a great place to shop with modern shopping malls, outdoor markets and different shopping experiences in Chinatown and Little India. Most stores open seven days a week. Opening hours are between 10 and 11 am. Closing hours are between 8 and 10 pm.

Bargaining is allowed in markets and some stores, but not in department stores, chain stores or supermarkets.
 
Shopping Hubs
Orchard Rd, lined with trees, is Singapore’s most famous shopping street. From Orchard MRT station there are underground passages connecting Tangs, Isetan and Takashimaya department stores and to Borders bookstore.

City Hall MRT – From this station you can access Raffles City, City Walk, Millenia Walk, Marina Square and Suntec City Mall shopping centres.

Chinatown and Little India are also accessible by the MRT.

Holland Village - is know for its shops, restaurants and services particularly for the expatriate community.
