Singapore - House Repair and Maintenance

If you are living in an apartment complex, the landlord will probably organise any repairs that are needed. Sometimes tenants are required to pay for part of the cost of repairs.

The hot, humid climate makes air-conditioners a necessity. If your apartment complex does not have a regular service contract for air-conditioner maintenance then you should organise for this to be done every three to six months. Look in the Yellow Pages under ‘air–conditioning maintenance and repair.’

The surroundings of all buildings are regularly sprayed for mosquito control. For other insect problems you should see your landlord or contact a pest control company.
