Oslo - Immigration Vocabulary

International immigration, as we know it today, is a relatively new phenomenon in Norway compared to other European countries. Immigration laws in Norway are generally stricter than they have been in countries like Great Britain, Germany, France and the Netherlands. The paperwork can be time consuming. However, as an ex pat being relocated by your employer, your company could take care of a significant part of the paperwork for you. Inquire with your personnel department and the Norwegian Embassy or Consulate where you live in plenty of time before you move.
