Kuwait is full of beauty centres, which include the hairdressers
indicated, catering primarily for the local citizens who spend a great deal
of time and even more money on their appearances. All the latest treatments
are available here; whether you are after the latest spray-on tanning
system, want your teeth whitened, want a full body wax or wish to hold back
the years with the latest high-tech facial. Most salons come recommended
through word of mouth.
Hairdressers
Whether you are the type of person who wants to pay KD1 or KD20 for a haircut you’ll have your choice of hairdressers in Kuwait. There are a huge number of ladies salons, and an even greater number of barber shops. There are a number of hairdressers who will travel to your home but these are usually discovered through word of mouth.
A haircut in a men’s salon will set you back anything between KD3 – KD14, and you’ll usually have a shave thrown in. Ladies salons offer a wide range of services and a simple haircut will cost anything from KD5 – KD19.

Massage
Massage facilities, although limited, vary considerably; from the Chinese massage carried out by a Chinese practitioner to the alternative therapies available in the five star hotels. A number of qualified practitioners of alternative therapies do operate in Kuwait; however, due to the operating restrictions their services are discovered through word of mouth. Many of the salons included in the hairdressers section also provide various massage therapies.
