Hong Kong - Hairdressers

Finding someone who will give you a decent haircut at a reasonable price is difficult. Most up-scale places will charge HK$500 for a haircut, so be prepared to either shell out the money, or venture to a smaller, lesser known place. It’s always good to ask people you know about hairdressers. If I recommend a salon, you may end up with a new person or someone who has been cutting hair for years, so it’s best to find out which person in the salon is worth going to.

Ute Kuch is a German who speaks good English and is quite experienced. My friend usually pays HK$850 for a cut and color. You will be pampered with capuccino and biscuits while you’re there.(Author's note)

My hair is straight and basic so I personally go to Peel and pay about HK$130 for a haircut. The guys there did a great job fixing my hair for a party as well, and it was only about HK$130 more - a very cheap deal in Hong Kong! I don’t know how they would do with curly or more complex hair, but you can give them a shot! (Author's note)
