Hong Kong - Dental Care

The dental care in Hong Kong is very good, and local check ups are reasonable, but any other dental activity (such as filling a cavity, removing wisdom teeth, etc) can be expensive.  Be sure to buy dental insurance if you intend to take care of your teeth and your pocketbook, all at the same time!

Most western employers can direct you to dental insurance, and often you are then restricted to going to certain dentists.  This usually isn't a problem since the dentist they will refer you to should be highly qualified.  For your own peace of mind, ask others who have gone to the same dentist's office as there are usually many dentists within one office and you may find one more to your liking than another. 

If you require special dental care, call the dentists office to enquire if they provide that service.
