Munich - Opera, Dance, Concerts and Theatres

Munich has a very rich arts and cultural life. It is the home to the Bavarian State Opera and the Bavarian State Ballet, and there are over 160 theatre venues which host performances of opera, dance, theatre and concerts. Churches also provide enjoyment for music lovers, many having free organ recitals.
Not all the big name international rock and pop acts come to Munich, but a large selection perform either indoors or outdoors at Olympiapark. If you're more of a beer fan than a music fan, there is always the option of listening to some traditional Bavarian oompah music at the Chinesischer Turm (Chinese Tower) beer garden in the Englischer Garten!
