Sophia Antipolis - Vintage cars

Importing your car in Sophia-Antipolis, must be done within twelve month of transferring your main residence. You have to know that you can drive with your foreign number plates maximum for four month. So you must register your car quickly at the "Prefecture".

How to import a vintage car

• From the European Union
  You need to obtain a certificate called "purchase certificate" at the tax office, which allows you to drive for 15 days.
  The documents that you will need for changing the number plates are :
  - purchase certificate
  - community certificate of registration
• Out of the European Union
  You will need the certificate 846 A from the customs which allow you to drive for 4 months.
