This island is located fifty miles south of Houston and offers a variety of beaches, shoppings, restaurants and tourist attractions. the city has been badly damaged in september 2008 and is striving to recover quickly, but it will take some time.

Six Flags is a very large amusement park. For Halloween (end October) they usually try to scare the visitors with haunted houses and spooky live shows.

Guided tours last approximately an hour depending on the size of the group. Forbidden Gardens will close in the event of inclement weather. Please call ahead to (281) 347-8000 if in doubt.

Dress comfortably with comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella or hat and sunscreen dependingon the weather, the Forbidden Gardens tour is mostly outdoors.

The park is wheelchair accessible and Forbidden Gardens has wheelchairs available in a first come first serve basis. Cameras are welcomed. No pets are allowed in the park with the exception of assistance animals. Forbidden Gardens is an outdoor museum replicating some of China's major historic scenes, from the first Emperor's amazing 6,000 piece terra-cotta army replicated in 1/3 scale to the intricately detailed  miniatures of the famous Forbidden City in Beijing which served as  palaces for nearly 500 years.
