  A swimming pool, gym, bowling alley, travel desk, library for adults and children, as well as tennis courts, and seven restaurants can be found at this club.
  Children have their own activity area for classes in karate, gymnastics, pottery and art.

  Restaurants, bars, swimming pools, gym, tennis and squash courts and library are all part of the membership. Children have their own play room and video games room. 

The organizations that are called ‘clubs’ such as the American Club, British Club etc. have large establishments with restaurants, swimming pool, tennis courts, gyms and other facilities, but command high joining fees. Most of the ‘associations’ have a small office run by volunteers and have inexpensive fees.

  Membership is open to all nationalities. This association provides many services including a Career Resource Center for Expatriates (CRCE), a Young Professionals Group and a Youth Employment program for summer jobs for teenagers. 
  ‘Living in Singapore, A Reference Guide’ and a monthly newspaper are published by the American Association of Singapore.

  Activities include groups for tennis, jogging, bridge, mahjong, English language classes and a choir. Regular tours and activities are organized for children.
• Alliance Francaise

  This centre has a café, library and cinema/theatre. It holds regular art exhibitions, concerts and screens French movies.  French language classes are conducted here and they produce a monthly newsletter. Membership is open to anyone interested in the French language and culture.

  This association provides opportunities for Canadians to get together with social functions, classes and tours. They have a children’s playgroup and publish a newspaper. They also have groups for Ice Hockey and Dragon Boat racing.

  The British Association organizes activities for newcomers, social functions and groups that play badminton, squash, tennis, lawn bowls, darts, bridge and mahjong. They publish a magazine and co-ordinate fundraising and volunteering for charities.

  Other nationalities can join ANZA as associate members. They organize activities for newcomers, social functions, tours and classes. Children’s activities include soccer and athletics.
• American Women’s Association (AWA)

  This membership is open to Americans and Canadians. Other nationalities can join as associates, although there is a waiting list.  Many activities including a choir, book group, bridge, tours, tennis, bowling, hiking and golf are organized for members. This association raises funds for charities.
