Expatriates have a culture of their own, independent from that of their country of origin and usually different from the culture of their new country of residence.

Being a foreigner in a foreign country, and a transient one(!), brings people from all nationalities, religions and languages together.

By being an expatriate, we learn that all expatriates share the same universal needs, as well as the challenges associated with the search for solutions.

The collective experience of all these women, men, children and families leads to the creation of a unique culture of expatriation, with its own rites of passage and its own specific traits.

Here is a place where we can celebrate the existence of the expatriate culture and appreciate the values it represents. Expatriates have an important role to play in society today, bringing with them a different  perspective to their new neighbourhood and becoming bridges between cultures.
