For simplicity we have listed the currency by country as well as giving you currency-zone lists, where countries using the same currency are grouped together.

Communaute Financiere Africaine franc (XOF/XAF)
  • XOF (CFA Franc BCEAO) - Currency used in Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal. The responsible authority: Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (Central Bank of West African States).
  • XAF (CFA Franc BEAC) - Currency adopted by Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon. The responsible authority: Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale (Bank of Central African States).
East Caribbean dollar (XCD)

Currency adopted by Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Euro (EUR)

The European Union, despite the introduction of the euro in January 1999, has no single currency. Are part of the euro-zone, beside Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Spain also Azores, Andorra (Principality of), Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, French Guyana, Guadeloupe,  Juan de Nova, Madeira Islands, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion, San Marino, Saint-Martin, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Vatican City (Holy See).

Other currencies present in the European Union are: British pound, Danish kroner, Swedish kroner, Cypriot pound, koruny (Czech Republic), krooni (Estonia), forint (Hungary), lati (Latvia), litai (Lithuania), Maltese liri, zloty (Poland), koruny (Slovakia), tolar (Slovenia)

US dollar (USD)

The United States dollar is used beside the USA in American Samoa, British Virgin Islands, East Timor, Ecuador, El Salvador, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Guatemala, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands.
